If we visit during the two weeks of July, we can experience a truly unique atmosphere: the city completely transforms, reminding us of a small New Orleans, thanks to the sounds of the famous jazz festival that fills its streets.
Our tour immediately takes us to discover the Rocca Paolina. This place, often described as “Underground Perugia,” offers a real journey beneath the city, an evocative passage that allows us to walk through history. Once we emerge again, we continue our walk along the Corso, the main street, until we reach the main square, the beating heart of the city. Here, we stop to admire the Fontana Maggiore, shining in all its majesty, and we are captivated by the Cathedral and the Palazzo dei Priori, symbols of civil and religious power.
Our route does not end here: we walk up to the panoramic viewpoint of Porta Sole. From this privileged position, we enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire city and the surrounding landscape. Along the way, we share stories and anecdotes that help us relive the traditions and thousand-year history of this place.
However, we know very well that Perugia is also synonymous with chocolate. For this reason, we end our experience with a delicious moment: a tasting of the famous chocolate bar. We visit a historic café in the city center, a place full of tradition, where we savor the authentic taste of Perugian chocolate and connect with the sweetest side of local culture.
